Former executive recruitment specialist pens new book for job seekers

A Massachusetts man who has ample experience as a job seeker and a hiring manager is sharing his experiences through the release of a new book.

Narinder Mehta is the author of "Five Steps to Your Next Jobs," which provides a framework for a successful employment search. His five steps aim to help readers: assess personal skills and job interests; craft a good resume and cover letter; identify potential employers; prepare for job interviews; and evaluate job offers.

Mehta founded an executive recruitment firm after serving in several high-profile positions, such as the national sales director of the American Express Gold Card and senior vice president of the Capital Credit Corporation.

He authored one previous book entitled "How to Get the Job You Want and Build a Great Career: A Manual for College Students and Young Professionals." He earned his master's degree in industrial relations from the University of Minnesota (UM).

"This book is a must read for anyone interested in securing a good job and achieving long-term career success," writes Dr. Connie Wanberg, the Industrial Relations Faculty Excellence Chair at UM's Center for Human Resources. "It is a book you should not refer to just once, but time and time again."
