Job Description

Seeking a Controller to handle all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecasts preparation for a commercial construction company.

  • Provide oversight of reporting and functional accounting processes
  • Manage accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Provide financial analysis of project accounting including labor and expense variances
  • Perform month-end close – accruals, general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Work with other departments to ensure the timely processing of financial transactions – subcontracts, invoices, change orders
  • Maintain and document internal financial controls and accounting procedures
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Delegate project-based work to office staff

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3+ years of construction accounting experience
  • Experience with job costing and WIP required
  • Working knowledge of Sage 300 or SAP
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred

$110,000 – $140,000 DOE + Full Benefits
