What was your very first job? I worked in the shoe and catalog department at JC Penney.

What skills and/or experience are you bringing to Renaissance? : I have a lot of experience interacting with people, so I feel like I will bring strong interpersonal skills to Renaissance. I truly enjoy meeting new people, so I think that my enthusiasm and excitement will come through in this job as well.

Why did you choose to work at Renaissance? The last eight years of my professional career has been working with people of all different types. I didn’t realize it until I met with Laura, but I have been preparing for a role like this all along. I wasn’t planning on getting into staffing and recruiting as a career, but after I met the team here at Renaissance it became a very easy decision. We have the ability to positively impact people here, and that’s something that really drives me and the rest of the team here.

What are you most looking forward to here? In the short time that I’ve been here I have already found myself loving the fact that I get to meet new people every day. Each person has a different background and set of goals, so it’s really rewarding to get to know them and help them in their job search process.

What are your hobbies? Playing and coaching soccer, spending time with my family and traveling.

Do you have any pets? Yes, a Beagle mix named Fanny. She is 6 years old…and we treat her like a human!

Tell us something that most people don’t know about you. During a soccer game in college I accidentally scored an own goal on my own team, then subsequently went on to score the tying goal for my team…only to get yellow carded for what the referee described as “excessive celebration”…this all happened within the course of 3 minutes in the same game.
